Sales Tips
- Display product with the logo facing the customer whenever possible. If jackets are hung, ensure one sample is facing forward. The travel jacket should be displayed folded into itself as well as on a hanger.
- Consider displaying the cuddle mitt on two mannequins to show uniqueness of product. Consider bundling two pairs of mitts along with the cuddle mitt.
- Display the fringed scarf with pocket with a prop such as sunglasses or a Kleenex hanging out of the pocket.
- Excellent hooks called "clever clip" are available through Eddies.com product #140251. These clever clips are compatible with any standard racking and are ideal for displaying most of our products. If you do not have a hat rack, consider using clothespins and pin them to a heavy string.
- Display products that go together such as a hat & scarf in either the same or coordinating colours. When a customer shows interest in one product, recommend a complimenting product. e.g. When adults buy a piece for themselves and they have a child with them, offer the equivalent in the child's size.
- Display a limited number of each product. A look of overstock may give the impression no one is buying them.
- Product feature tags should be clearly noticeable and the salesperson should be knowledgeable and highlight them to the customer.
- Try to offer "added value"—not a discount. e.g. Buy 1 toque at full price and purchase a pair of mitts at half price. Buy 1 toque at full price and purchase a 2nd toque at half price.
- You can't sell what you don't have. Reorder before you are out of stock.
- P.O.S. signage is provided with each order. These double-sided signs are self-standing. For a long lasting versatile sign, we recommend cutting the sign in two and placing each half in a standard ___ Plexiglass frame that stands. These are readily available most places frames are sold.
